Hi all,

Just a reminder that our annual Kingy vs Caba is on THIS Sunday, we are all meeting at the headland @ 7.00 a.m. as we need to be at Kingy for an 8.00a.m. start. We expect all club members to attend as most of you will be competing, Cadets A & B, juniors, open – everyone! And bring along mum and dad too. If you need a lift give Chicka a call on 0408012231.

Our next club round will be September 3rd as usual, @ the headland @ 7.00 a.m.

Spud’s-Coach’s Corner:
I’m going to put in a quick message with each newsletter to keep you all updated – over half the year has gone and compared to last year the surfing at the club rounds has been excellent!

Club rounds are very important as I use some of these contests to help me select teams, as we have the Kingly comp this weekend & then the Straddie Assault and after that the Globe Pro-Junior. I’m also looking at how you are all going outside of the club in other comps.

Just before I go congrats to our President – finishing third at the state titles, he’s now off to Bells Beach early September for the Aussie Titles - good luck mate. Other standouts this year in comps outside the club have been Timmy, Chippa- he’s off to Cronulla this week for a demo boost day with none other than Parko, Brittani, second at last weekend’s memorial comp for Joel Fanning, Damo winning the Winter Wahoo on the Goldie last month.

Also the Jim Beam champ is well on it’s way after 2 rounds, we have had good contestable waves, points are close with 3 rounds left, remember $500.00 first prize is at stake!
